GCAHAC delivers a holistic model that provides whole of person care without discrimination. This includes under pinning social determinants that impact heavily on the health and well-being of individuals & families in our community.
About the role
Goodradigbee is providing intensive family support to families in Western Sydney/Nepean and Blue Mountains areas.
Our team work to support vulnerable families who are at risk of further escalation in the child protection system because we believe that supporting families before a crisis improves family resilience and reduces harm to children.
You will be a self-directed individual who is passionate about working directly with families experiencing trauma and is committed to providing the best level care and support possible to our families.
Essential criteria
- minimum Cert IV in Community Services or similar qualification
- minimum 2 years’ experience working in the field.
- Have an understanding of the impacts of intergenerational trauma and the affects this has on Aboriginal persons and their families.
- availability to work flexible working hours including shift work, weekends and sleepover shifts.
- ability to demonstrate knowledge of trauma-informed care.
- current unrestricted drivers’ licence.
- current First Aid Certificate.
- current Working with Children Check.
- Willingness to obtain a national criminal history check.
Desirable criteria
- Be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
